This coaching program is designed to help you achieve success in all aspects of your career and life. From leadership development, effective networking, performance improvement, and personal growth, I will work with you to create a personalized plan that will help you climb your mountain to success.
Our Goal
Climbing a mountain is a wonderful practice for living. If you will choose to take the risk, it will be beautiful, exhilarating, and dangerous. Yes, at times, it may seem unsurmountable. You cannot take the whole mountain at once and alone. That's where ASCEND SCE comes in. About
My name is Erwin Sabile
Thank you for spending some time reading my bio. I live in Virginia Beach, about 3 hours away from the Shenandoah National Park (probably one of the most beautiful place in the world). I'm an avid hiker and have enjoyed many hiking trips around the world.
In an organizational setting, we are generally not encouraged to express emotions. It is seen as a sign of weakness, or not being whole. Consequently, valuable energy is expended in self-protection, outwardly manifesting a sense of control. Authentic emotions, when used responsibly, is an opportunity to show how someone truly feels about something, this is where i can help you. I will create an environment for honest and real dialogue.
With over 22 years in the military and 20 years in the corporate world, and membership on various Board of Directors, I am ready to serve by sharing all of my leadership and networking skills. As a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I have been blessed to be able to share these skills by coaching (in-person and virtually) many clients all around the world. It has been very joyful and rewarding experience.
In the corporate world, I served as a Program Manager, Senior Test Engineer, and Cyber Table-Top Facilitator supporting various DoD and DHS Program Management Offices, Warfare Center, and Test Agencies. While in the military, I serve as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy and have been deployed to the Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, South East Asia, and East Africa.
I was part of the Executive Board of Directors for the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) and serves as the Hampton Roads Chapter President. I served as Chair for ITEA's 2022 and 2017 International Symposium and hosted the 2023 Cybersecurity Workshop and the 2024 Artificial Intelligence in T&E Forum .
I look forward to getting to know you more and being with you in this journey as we aSCEnd your specific mountain. By the way, the letters C and E in aSCEnd is named after my 2 wonderful kids, Chloe and Evan.
Education and Certification
Brown University
Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification Program approved by the ICF. Concepts from disciplines from Developmental Psychology and Leadership Development were taught.
Naval War College
Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies, with courses from American Military University and Pennsylvania State University (where I currently hold a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Preparedness in Disaster and Bioterrorism.
Old Dominion University
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. I was also part of the Navy ROTC, President of Student Ambassadors and received the Resident Assistant of the Year.
